Kathy Duva inherited Main Events from her husband, Dan, and ran it into the ground to the point where they got rid of all their offices and let go of basically all their fighters, until she got her hands on Kovalev. And he's propped them up for the last handful of years.

I don't think a boxing promotional company the size of Top Rank has ever been successfully handed down to someone else.
