Is this not obvious to everyone in this forum? The fight will never happen. Stop hoping, and stop talking about this fantasy fight. It will only happen in our dreams.:hi::deal
I think the risk is worth it, now he makes pac look like a fool and it will hurt his rep, he was never a known ducker but now he will get that rep. If he loses to floyd via wide ud its expected so what does it matter? He can still bounce back trough several other fights and one good ko over a hypejob and he is back on top getting good ppv numbers. Also if he somehow managed to beat floyd then it would be a huge legacy boost and make him an even bigger star.
No if pac loses to PBF he loses his aura of invincibility and would be looked upon as bit of a hype job. this would hurt his PPV numbers after the fight . . . besides I do not think Pac will fight for much longer to recover.
That only counts for people who started watching him after he won vs Oscar and besides that he already lost that aura vs marquez.
The more I look at the situation I'm thinking yes Pacquiao would lose but would lose on points. If it wasn't lopsided there could be a couple of rematches written into the contract and they would generate an astonishing amount of money! Trouble is I think Arum fears a whitewash
How the **** can a man who goes from 108lbs to junior middleweight with a resume like Pacquiao EVER be looked upon as a hype job? His achievements at super bantamweight and super featherweight alone put him in the hall of fame
I think some consider the superstar version (since oscar) along with the *******s glorifying him like kim jong il, to have a lot of hype. 7 of his championships and his career, fotd and career are legit though.
Even if Pacquiao losses the fight I don't think it hurts the man's legacy. He has been a champion since he was a Flyweight that is so impressive to make your way all the way up to Welterweight. Both Floyd and Manny are great fighters they just need to make this fight happen for us boxing fans! Isn't the customer always right?
Hurt them? At this point they would be cut by around 70%. No more money for fighting catch weight bull**** matches. Only a rematch with Floyd would pay well. Pac has been living off Floyd's name for at least 4 years. If he loses the fight the money is gone.
