According to Steve Kim from Maxboxing.com. Thoughts? Personally, I think it's a foolish rule because in most cases where fighters are seriously injured, it is a result of prolonged punishment rather than one solid blow. With bigger gloves, fighters are more likely to take sustained beatings rather than getting flat out KO'd. It's a rule that seemingly defeat the purpose. Maybe it's just me, but when I hear fights like Judah/Mosley and Torres/Holt II are being held in Vegas, automatically some intrigue is killed knowing they won't be wearing 8 ounce gloves. The way those gloves looked on Ricky Hatton during the Urango fight was laughable.
