"Let me tell you, this Wallin is a great fighter and I think he will clearly beat Whyte, so I'm not considering a match against Fury. I don't even see Whyte's figure as a good fighter". Some months ago he said Bodybuilder is overrated and he was right. Is he right even this time?
I think so. Its certainly a close fight. Wallin might not have much of a public presence but he rough, tough and knows how to fight and knows how and when to be dirty. Whyte isn't the fighter he was 3 years ago and this is a difficult match up for him
A future fight with Fury seems to be on the cards for Whyte, so hopefully he isn't looking past Wallin. And if Whyte's focus isn't on the job at hand and Wallin beats him, then it's all good because Edward can always set the wheels in motion for a rematch: it's pretty much his modus operandi at this point.
If Wallin comes in the same shape he was for the Fury fight, he has a great chance to beat Whyte. He was slightly out of shape in his fight against Breazeale and if he doesn't have peak conditioning, Whyte has a chance to beat him.
Wallin is a live dog but not sure he was the style to get the job done. Bob doesnt want Whyte to win as that means a UK fight at Wembley stadium and not the t mobil. I want Whyte to do a job on Wallin to build that hype.
Whyte is not very good. But I have no idea how good Wallin is yet. He did well against Fury but that was a fight where Fury's form was stalling with Ben Davison as his sole trainer, and has made radical changes since. This is a good test for Wallin. It will show where he is at.
Styles make fights and wallin hasn't got the style to beat Whyte. He hasn't got a big enough punch to crack that roided glass jaw for a start.
The Povetkin KO took a lot of confidence away from Whyte. He got his revenge, sure, but he became VERY aware of his own short comings that first night. That kind of thing doesn't leave you until you can FIRMLY bury into the depths of your consciousness.
