"I don't know what I'm gonna do," Arum said. "I have to look for someone to fight him. He's one of the best defensive fighters I've ever seen, but it's not a very pleasing style. He's a very good fighter, but it's not pleasing, so we will have to see." That was not a pleasing style to the masses. It will be interesting to see what HBO even wants to do with Rigo and how much they want to see him fight. You can blame Bob all you want but Rigo will have to be much more aggressive for fans to want to see him fight and for HBO to want to pay him. #TeamPrinceN Mayweather Ward Broner Thurman
Well people say the same **** about fighters that are on your avatar, and i would much rather see them fight than many other "great to watch" fighters, if you are casual fan maybe you will find Rigo boring but if you are true fan that knows boxing you will enjoy amazing display of skill, rather than seeing two flatfooted no footwork fighters with no defense brawling.
how in the world can you claim to be a Ward fan, but not find Rigondeuax's style pleasing? :blood:blood
To be real ward beat the **** out of dawson last time out, he was catching leather all night. Rigo is mad skilled but its hard to sell that at 122 pounds. It can happen though. Get him active racking up kos (he has the power) an sell him to the cuban fan base down in florida
Feed him a bunch of come foward fighters tailor made for him (like they were doing to Dumbnaire) where he will look spectacular and have those fights take place in South Florida. He'll be packing some seats then.
It's not a question of whether it can be done. It's a question of how much Arum likes Rigo or how much effort he's willing to provide for the Cuban. Casual fans, as gullible as they are, will toss their money in the bucket if a promoter does his job the right way. Rigo and Arum aren't on the same page. It appears to me Arum doesn't give a rat's ass which makes me wonder why they are doing business in the first place.
