First . . . he agreed on the 50/50 purse split offer from Schaefer and team Hatton without consulting Manny.

And I also noticed that all his press releases were antagonistic of Team Pacquiao's effort to re-negotiate. Aren't he suppose to be representing Pacquiao's interest in all negotiations?

Then . . . he seems desperate . . . that he increased Pacquiao's guaranteed purse out of his own pocket. Why would he spend money out of his own pocket? That's highly suprising and unussual for Arum.

I smell a buy out. It's obvious Schaefer and Arum are now working as a team to force Pac to accept that offer.

Just my 2 cents . . . What do you people think?

I think that this is just business as usual with fight negotiations. And that posters try to make a dollar with 99 pennies.

Yeah busisness as ussual . . . he has handled negotiations for countless of big fights . . . where some has fizzled out . . .but have you ever heard Arum spending money out of his own pocket just to make a fight happen? :think

The guarantee he gives Pac would hardly be relevant.

The money that Hatton brings would take it out of the equation.

no. that story also came from arum when he blurted out his 50/50 verbal deal to the boxing media. he probably did this to bully, coerce and trap pac into signing that deal. fight negotiations should be done behind closed doors not out in the open for all to see.

no. arum started it first by proclaiming his 50/50 verbal deal to the boxing media including boxing websites. pac just followed suit as a result.

well i don't care anymore about the split, they've both lost out on probably their biggest purse each, and boxing fans have missed out on the biggest and probably best fight of 2009.

Agree! The fans of both pac and hatton are the losers. Would have been an exciting fight for both of them win or lose!

I believe both of them fighting each other is inevitable. They may be facing different opponents on thier next fight but thier fight is a must. So i believe they will be seeing each other on the ring no matter what before the end of 2009.

    Cheers!

Why a buyout!:yikes........that surely could not have been happening when an immediate rematch fell apart between JMM and Pac after they first fought.......back when Arum was JMM's promoter and Murad Muhamad was Pac's ........
Arum and Muhamad (two scoundrels)could clearly not have been in cahoots to screw the fighters (JMM and Pac) out of money that they truly deserved after the epic fight that they both put up!

No, that could'nt have happened back then, but it is now?:nut:roll:
