Arum is suppose to take note of the offer . . . go back to his man and discuss it . . . what ever is the result of the talk between him and Pac . . . he should have presented that to team Hatton as a counter offer . . . that's what a promoter is suppose to do. Did it happen here??? . . . Divac . . . did Arum did that? :yep

JMM? Pac? That's a series of offer and counter offer with Arum in the middle . . . before it failed. And did you hear Arum raise up anybody's purse in that scenario using his own money?

:rofl  :rofl  :rofl

Link that I just supplied? I don't need a link dude . . . what I'm posting here right from the opening post is my observation.

Read my post all over again . . . and tell me where I said Pac's actions are right. :D

These thread is about my observation on Arum's actions as his promoter. :deal

    This ring a bell?
Atty Gacal, Roach and Arum were the ones who attended the meeting last December where the 50/50 split purse was discussed and agreed on.

You have a link? Or is that just an 'observation'? Again, show me where Manny disputes Arum's side. I have yet to see it. And if you haven't seen Arum quoted, you shouldn't have even posted on this topic.

There's an article . . . but I can't find it anymore. Gacal specifically said it was him, Roach and Arum who sat with Schaefer and team Hatton.

    Links for my claim?

Here's what Arum has to say:

“We went over the whole thing…Koncz was there and so was Gacal…I think Manny went to the bathroom and missed the 50-50 part but certainly they told him about it."

You want some more back up? Here:

"However, Williams, speaking exclusively to Telegraph Sport, insisted: "We already have a verbal agreement from Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum that it would be 50/50 split for the contest. We have said all along that that is all we are prepared to do, and Arum has agreed to the equal share."

    Here’s the link:

i think this is one of the most suspicious comments i have heard in this thread.

He thought pac will just be his total stooge.

got to disagree with you on this one bro. I mean, if you think your promoter is screwing you in broad daylight, would you really allow him to do so without you putting up a stand.

Pac is at the point in time of his career wherein he should have say on the terms and conditions of his fights. after all he is one who steps into the ring.

yeah, but he doesn't seem to have good business mind, does he not realize what 52% of 50+million is!!! Plus, he would be performing in the other fighters backyard whose fans are bringing in most of the revenue.

I used to think like you that pac does not have the streetsmarts, but this is not one simpletoon here.

If you look at pacs business decisions, he has really been impressive after he was able to extricate himself from murad.

he has various endorsement deals, even Nike. i don't know how many boxers have their own endorsements with nike.

the gbp top rank saga has been resolved. from a business standpoint, people are judging him on this one time transaction only. and do you seriously believe that this fight will never push through?

sure he said no the first time to 52% of 50m. but i seriously doubt if the fight will not push through. there is just too much money involved for both fighters.

kaka, assuming you know football, rejected the offer of manchester city of 158m and a salary of 500,000 a week.

ergo, there are decisions based not solely on money considerations.

I can't believe that Pacquiao wasn't in on negotiations.

Arum knows its a great offer and more money than Pac could possibly make.
