Bob Fitz v Bob Foster

Good match-up.
I think Fitzsimmons was the better puncher but they were both hittable fighters, and I'd guess Foster might be a good enough hitter to KO Fitz too.
I'd say Fitz, but I'll give Foster a chance of upsetting that.

 

My take.

 

Someone is indeed getting KO'd here, and I'm thinking it's Foster. In a match of two Foreman-like combatants, Fitz was the better.

 

Foster takes him out early. Mountainous gap in skill and technique.

There is certainly a mountainous gap in the results they got against oponents over 175lbs.

Old Fitzs skill and technique cant have been that bad given that he could knock oponents 30lbs heavier than himself into quivering heaps.

 

Fitz wins via Ko. Foster could not take a good punch.

 

skill and technique mean nothing to some posters on these boards. i dare you watch video and use common sense when picking an all-time matchup

 

Fitz has the chin to win in a shootout with Foster, not sure if the latter can handle that power though.

 

Definitely can't underestimate Ruby Rob here. Hard hitting and tough as hell, I give him more than likely chance of stopping Foster.

 

Foster's only chance as I see it is to control Fitz with his jab and then land big left hooks. Tough task.
