It was pretty good. In the Ruhlin fight, he basically taunted Ruhlin, letting him hit his chin. He was obviously confident in it.
Unrelated, but for a perfect gent to post so often and have such a low ratio of likes says a lot about this forum. You are a poster i appreciate almost the most.
Fitz was the best banger ever, he had to have elite chin. That said, Fitz knew how to make sublte head moves to minimalize the force of punches. You can see that in his Lang fight when he was old as hell - he took a lot of punches, but most of them didn't connect cleanly.
We haven't always had the "like" function here. I don't remember when exactly, it was introduced... but I don't think, it was that many years ago. Janitor, having been on here since 2006, must certainly have posted here for quite a few years, where the function wasn't in effect - which explains his low ratio of likes.
It’s astonishing how much respect so many don’t have for Fitz these days. He was a super tough, crafty, smart, murderous punching machine. There is an old Foster fight from the late 1960’s where Don D describes Foster as a modern day version of Fitz. Found that interesting
