    All they did was clinch pre 30s, how anyone rates the guys pre 30s except the odd fighter here and there i will never understand.

    You compare them to 46 years old Fitzsimmons in late rounds who fought in massive heat against someone bigger than him.

    Obvisouly Fitz was great at cutting off the ring, even the camera man can't keep up. Is it me or new newer the film the better the fighters look.

    I wish you used the same standard for Tyson, but somehow Mike lost all his skills in Douglas fight and on.

    Mike did not train for Douglas.
    Mike's defense also decreased gradually after he split with Rooney.

    So it's fine to make excuses for Tyson because "he didn't train" but Fitzsimmons had no excuse for looking not grear at 46 years old...

    You're not getting my point. Tyson's technique gradually decreased due to him firing Rooney and not training the same, not due to age.
    That is not the case with Fitzsimmons
