Hypothesis A: Given at least 15 rounds, Marciano eventually slows down Fitzsimmons and takes him out.
Hypothesis B: Will Marciano's face hold up? Maybe '50's marginally more cut-squeemish than 1900's? Well, I don't think the 50's were all _that_ squeemish. I'd call Hypoth. B a 'slight tweak', at best.

'Jeffries II' Fitzsimmons took a relatively 'Allosaur' like slash-and-move approach rather than the Tyrannosaur 'decisive crunch'. Don't think he'd last against Marciano, at least not 15 rounds or up. I'm not saying Fitzsimmons couldn't win. Not the way I'd bet, though.

Bob has early success, shaking Marciano up and causing damage to his face, but Rock s never give up attitude, eventually batters Bob into submission.

Marciano mauls and destroys Fitz. Early.
It would be a quick and devastating KO within 2 rounds.

A middleweight stepping right into Rocky's face attempting to KO him fighting aggressively with body shots and combinations? Bob is dropped heavily in the 1st round with the first clean punch, then gets battered in the 2nd with a barrage of shots at ring center going down again. Bob tries to get to his feet but collapses.

I’d favor Rocky to win. But Ruby Bob was tough as nails, even at the old age when he fought Jeffries. Fitz was an animal of a fighter.

I love Bob, I have Bob in my top 5 ATG pound for pound. But this ain't a real good matchup for him. Jeffries was an undynamic slogger. Marciano was dynamic and was hard to set up with the traps Bob liked to set.

I got to go Marciano KO8. Maybe he gets stung or dropped once. But he gets up and continues.
