The films of this guy absolutely make me think of Fitz , even the angles of the punches .. This content is protected
If they ever needed somebody to play Fitzsimmons in a film, where he was not the principal character.
He can certainly hit. What he can do against a man and a man who is hitting back is open to question. Thank you for sharing this.
If you watch what he is doing there, and read the Haislet book, it is the same thing. Watch how he moves his weight from one foot to the other and then turns hard over it. That's the same school of punching technique that Mike Gibbons and Sam Langford used.
And, of course, Jack Hurley. As I've maybe posted before, Boone Kirkman told me that Hurley used to tell him to dig his feet into the canvas. And Larry Buck told me that Eddie Cotton's feet used to squeak while pivoting to throw his left hook.
Kazakhstans version of Ruby Robert where he is a boxing trainer, lets say if i spilled his beer in a pub, i would be inclined to buy him another very quickly.
Kazakhstan? Lol. Then I have to say, with a sleazy tone, “Very nice…”. Not to detract, since the guy exhibits nice leverage and power, but I believe that is a water filled bag - softer to hit, shifts more on impact and when hit, gives off a much better sound effect than a regular heavy bag. He would’ve made a better double than the regulation bald guy they actually used in the Jeffries vs Fitz re-enactment. For the full effect, “Kazakhstan” Bob just needs a stout lady named Rosie (or due foreign equivalent) standing just outside the ring yelling “Hit ‘im in the slats!!”
