Artur should win the match under the modern ruleset, but if Fitz is as good as contemporaries suggest then he should make this very competitive. If he performs as he did against Corbett, he most likely gets starched early.
Interesting match up. I wish there was more film on Fitzsimmons to make an educated prediction. But, based of his annihilation of Tom Sharkey, I would certainly not count him out of winning this one.
Hard to say but my guess is Beterbiev would have better technique and would be able to win. Fitzimmons started his career in the 1880’s and boxing techniques continued to evolve for another 50 years.
How bizarre, didn’t Fitz criticize the Colour line? What made him so passionate about not fighting Muslims?
