Could Fitzsimmons legendary power crack LaMotta's jaw or is Lamotta too modern for Fitzsimmons?

I think LaMotta's 59 year age advantage would be too much for Fitzsimmons to overcome.

I'm surprised this got fewer responces. Obviously I back Fitz by KO, Lamotta was great but Fitz was a class above, underrated skills and a scary puncher at Middleweight.

i don't know about Jake reckoning he should have got diabetes with number of times he fought Sugar Ray Robinson, i think Jake would be getting PTSD and nightmare flashbacks for long while after fighting Ruby Robert.

LaMotta did defeat Robinson and floored him 2x (or was it thrice)

I have faith in Fitz's power.

When you have a middleweight KOing tough heavyweights in a couple rounds, it's just ridiculous.

Are you implying Fitz was a better, harder puncher than SRR at 155-160, because Robinson didn't ko Jake in 6 bouts.

Neither did any other puncher for example Bob Satterfield, Irish Bob Murphy, Lloyd Marshall or any other legit KO puncher but I would say that Fitz was bigger, may have had better stamina hits alot harder than SRR not sure if he hits any harder than the 3 mentioned but it appears he was able to KO heavyweights...but since we don't know the threshold of LaMotta's chin resistance in his prime I think we can assume under 40-50's era gloves LaMotta takes it....It is possible that in his own era Fitz KO's LaMotta......I would go with Fitz by TKO with LaMotta more than likely on his feet but cut and bruised

Yes. In the fight Ray lost Ray weighed144.5 to Jake's 160.5.
In the other fight in which Jake floored Ray[their 3rd fight]Ray scaled145 to Jake's160,75.
Fitz scaling 167lbs on the morning of their fight ko'd 184lbs Jim Corbett with one left hook to the stomach.
