This is really funny! 23 years old Satterfield scaled164.75lbs for that fight, Jake167lbs
Satterfield was a comparative novice with just 16 fights under his belt, Jake had 72!
Two other bigger guys Jake fought were Danny Nardico who knocked him down and made him quit after 7rds .
    Nardico weighed 177lbs Lamotta173lbs.
The other guy was Bob Murphy 175.5lbs Jake 175lbs ,Jake quit in the 7th.

Why not watch the first one, when Jake quit in the 7th?
ps Who couldn't out box Murphy? If you want a master class watch Joey Maxim do it.
Fritzie Zivic said you couldn't miss Lamotta with a punch,"throw it under your leg and you'll hit him".
Also this myth that Lamotta beat up big guys does not stand up to scrutiny.
Danny Nardico dropped Jake and forced him to quit Nardico was177lbs Jake 173lbs
    Murphy was175.5lbs Jake 175lbs.
And for the vaunted win over still green Satterfield Satterfield was164.75lbs with just 16 fights and Jake was 167lbs with 72 fights experience . Fitzsimmons killed two men in the ring and ruined another, he smashed Jim Jeffries face to pulp breaking his nose cutting him above and below both eyes and opening up his cheek.
Hype Igoe sitting ringside later said it was a more brutal beating than the one Dempsey inflicted on Willard.Fitz was nearly 39 years old and had been retired for 2 years.
Whatever the differences in the styles of the era Fitzsimmons had the power to send full sized heavyweights into dreamland and he did it frequently. Lamotta wasn't a puncher of real consequence and he wasn't hard to find with punches, neither was he a scientific boxer so how does he beat Fitzsimmons ?
A boiled down, weight drained ,fading Lloyd Marshall took Lamotta to school and won every round on some cards.

"Lloyd Marshall, the nation's #1 Light heavyweight, boxed his way to an easy 10 round victory over Jake LaMotta tonight. LaMotta, sporting a streak of eight straight victories, was no match for the Sacramento, Calif. Negro and managed to take only one round, the tenth, with a furious finish that had the fans on their feet. LaMotta's left cheekbone began to bleed in the 4th round and Marshall made the cut a target for his left jabs. In the 5th round Marshall staggered LaMotta with several hard left hooks to the jaw and body. He piled up most of his points, however, with his left jab. The Bronx Italian also suffered a split nostril in the 8th. The fastest round of the fight was the tenth. LaMotta, who had remained in a semi-crouch most of the night, opened up and tried to tag Marshall with a KO punch, but failed. Marshall took every round but the 1st and 10th on the UP scorecard. The opening canto was even as both fighters sparred for advantage." -United Press

    • Although Marshall had been campaigning as a light heavyweight, he agreed to a contracted weight of no more than 161 for this fight. Moreover, Marshall's manager Johnny Rogers had to put up $5,000 to guarantee Marshall's weight.
    • Weights: Marshall-160¼, LaMotta-158½
I'm a big Lamotta fan,[I pick him to beat Zale,] but he gets stopped and stopped brutally by Fitz.

Jake losing to Murphy, 4 months after his "massacre" by SRR, and losing to Nardico, at the near end of his carear,
are like Wlad losing to Joshua. Neither is a blot on his record.

Satterfield eventually put a lot more weight on his frame, he was naturally a bigger guy than LaMotta. He fought as a HW most of his boxing life, as you well know.

Satterfield was a 23 years old inexperienced supermiddleweight when Lamotta fought him, that is a fact that you should recognize and admit.
Name these bigger guys that Lamotta beat!
Satterfield had 69 fights for about 40 of them he was below 180lbs and for most of them below 175lbs, in1954 at the age of 31 he was only176lbs for the Cleveland Williams fight.

    This was my question.

    1. Which big guys did Jake fight who didn't stop him?

    2. This is your answer.Bob Satterfield, who fought at HW, and who LaMotta KO'd.

    3. And its just plain wrong ,I know it, and you know it , so just say so.
