Fitz apparently hit harder than Wlad, Lennox, Foreman, Tyson, Comits, Atom Bombs, and its rumoured a Fitz right hand created the universes initial big bang. Thus Fitz by first round decapitation with Fraziers head being thrust into orbit around the moon
I don't agree that Fitzsimmons would be a World class fighter when compared to Frazier. He'd have less of a chance than Foster that's for sure. IN MY OPINION :good
I agree with the feeling that Frazier would get Bob pretty quick, but just wanted to see what others thought.
It anoys me somewhat when people bring up Bob Foster to justify that the top heavyweights of the 70s would have steamrolled great lightheavyweigts from other eras. Foster didnt just get beaten by the Ali's and Fraziers he also got beaten by the kind of second teir heavyweights that the top light heavyweights of the 50s had been able to deal with while far past their best. He was a great light heavyweight but just not a viable heavyweight. Now Fitzsimmons had been anihilating the best heavyweights of his era yet people are not willing to credit him with being able to do better than Bob Foster against the heavyweights of the 70s?
I didn't mean it like that. I was actually saying that because Foster would've been light years ahead of Fitz as well (in punching power I think Foster would've beaten most of Fitz's opponents as well) and he fared badly against, as you say, even middling heavys. I appreciate the innovation, just not it's chances of standing up today. Hope that explains my point-of-view, I'm certainly interested in the pre-war fighters, no doubt.
Frazier KO1 or KO 2. No disrespect to Fitzsimmons as he is a great fighter but he simply would be overpowered.
