I feel Hagler`s reach would be a problem for Bob, it would make it hard for him to land or counter without getting countered but Fitz knocked bigger men and that could be a factor, Hagler would have struggled with the heavies that Bob beat.
A KO phenom(Bob) against a guy known for his tough chin(Hagler). I looked through Bob's record and noticed he was KO'ed 4 times; however, that was twice to James Jeffries who we know was no slouch and once to Jack Johnson, nor was he a slouch. Also to Bill Lang but that was near the end of Bob's career. Fitzsimmons vs Hagler sounds like a good war to me.
One may have to assume Fitz hit harder that Hearns...being Hagler survived Hearns' power. And that the fight is at MW, being Fitz did move up in weight some, and Mavin didn't.
I don't know why,but I just see Marvin stopping Fitz here. Maybe Hagler having to come from behind to do so and having facial injury s .I'll go Hagler w ko 13
If both them are 160 in the ring then i go with marvin by ud, but bob was naturally bigger and stronger than hagler his frame was bigger without a doubt
Marvellous Marvin was one of all time favourites, however i say Fitz has his beating, Fitz had truly freakish power, though i sure would pay for a seat to watch these warriors lock horns, a chess match of defensive moves it not likely to be.
This is sooo hard a pick, I like Fitz, if a war breaks out Fitz was much tougher than Hearns! He takes a brutal decision or stoppage on cuts
Well if Hagler could stay out of trouble and make it a boxing match I think his greater all round game would win a fairly hard fought UD. However if Marvin got himself into a slugging match, despite even with his great chin the chances are he's being stopped, Fitzimmons had unreal power.
I think he definitely hit harder than Hearns. No disrespect to Tommy who had an atom bomb in that right hand, Fitz was just a freak even more so than Tommy. I pick Fitz here, as Marvin was a great middleweight but Fitzs power took out heavyweights.
