    BINGO !!! T, you are correct...Jack Delaney from Canada was truly one of the greatest light heavyweight champions we ever had. Best LH of his golden age. But he ventured out of his division to make more dough in the HW division and was licked by Jim Maloney, Johnny Risko, Tom Heeney, Jack Sharkey. Just as Bob Foster dominated the LH's, but failed in his heavyweight pursuit.
    P.S. Delaney with his laser right hand Ko'd Tiger Flowers 3 times in 2 fights. TRUE. :good

    But Foster had a shot at the title if I recall vs Frazier, I dont think Delaney had a title shot.

    I do have his bout with Sharkey, that was a great ko on the part of Sharkey.

    I was just with Joe Frazier this afternoon, along with his son Marvis, Emile Griffith, Leon Spinks, Vito Antuofermo, Juan LaPorte, Tracy Harris Patterson, Iran Brakley, Burt Young, Tommy Gallagher (The Contender), Steve Farhood, Joey Gamache, Vinny Maddalone, Harold Lederman and Melvina Lathan, just to name a few.

    I had the honor of being the Master of Ceremonies at Ring 8's Annual Christmas Party and Award Ceremonies at Russo's on the Bay in New York, so I had the pleasure of introducing them all. I even asked Joe Frrazier if he ever sparred with Carlos Monzon and he said he never did.

    One of the honorees was Billy Costello, who was a World Champion, But he couldn't make it as he is very ill with cancer.

    i'm embarassed to admit this but it came to me about 5 in the morning after i'd had drink or 12:happy:happythats 2 i've got, thats my quota for next year too.
