I read somewhere that they were brothers, then I read that they were instead half brothers and then I read they didn't really know each other? Which is correct?

No ..Big Mac was a USMC Vietnam war vet who was 24 -0 heavily hyped going into Quarry fight. His biggest fight to date. At the time his biggest wins were a past it Williams Folly and Stanton? I think.. all wins by KO. Quarry stopped him in I think 70? He went the distance with Ali and was employed as a sparring partner by Liston Foreman and I'm forgetting another big name here. I think he hung em up in 74-75? Again not sure. My memory sucks at times. As an edit I believe all his victories til he retired were by KO. I don't know how many losses now maybe 7 or 8?

Foster served as George Foreman's sparring partner for Foreman's world title bout with Ken Norton in 1974. He retired from boxing in 1976 after losing his fourth consecutive decision, this time to prospect Stan Ward. Foster's final record was 30-6, with all 30 of his wins coming by knockout.
