Bob Foster gives Victor Galindez a mandatory title shot in Dec 1974. Instead of honoring his obligation to defend his title against WBC no.1 ranked John Conteh, Bob defends his World Light Heavyweight Title against WBA no. 1 ranked Victor Galindez. Does Victor wear down Foster? Or does Bob kayo the tough Argentine challenger? It is 15 rounds.

If Bob Foster had trouble with Jorge Ahumada in June 1974, he would have lost to John Conteh and Victor Galindez in 1974.

If only steroids had made it into boxing in 74,, Bob was too far past it by then, but Galindez would pay for it

    Good post Richard.
At this point, the great Bob Foster imo loses. I see a wearing down type fight, maybe Bob has Victor hurt in opening stages but Galindez keeps throwing away and takes the best shots. By championship rounds, both men are tired but Foster more so. He's thrown his hardest shots but his man s still coming forward.
Bob manages to hold on just to the final bell but is barely standing.
Victor wins by a unanimous decision.

Victor would wear down Bob for a strong UD. Possible knockdown late.

Very true, read somewhere where Bob Foster called the loss a Peruvian decision.

Nobody was calling him past prime until Ahumada gave him the business.
