I agree completely with the article. He was of course quite good, but I've always maintained that Foster was very overrated. Not sure what people gauge this supposed greatness on. KO's of an undersized Tiger and overmatched Rondon and Quarry? He also didn't know how to use his size properly. Leaned in too much.
Decent read....a little biased but many are. I agree that Spinks would likely win, and did fight superior comp. Bob was dominant during his reign but I think Spinks would our point him comfortably and might even stop Foster. I would love to contemplate Qawi vs Foster as well. At cruiser I would likely go Qawi not sure about at LHW though
This would probably be my first choice if I could see any imaginary LHW fight actually happen. I am leaning towards Spinks.
The Foster that took out Rondon is very dangerous. (Young Foster's victories over Henry Hank (1&2) & Eddie Cotton at Lightheavy grade weights, were left out of the article)
I go with Spinks. He fought in a better era, and was successful in his move up to heavyweight. Spinks is my GOAT at lightheavyweight.
