Both men put their opponents in the shadow real, this we all know.

But out of the two, who had the scarier KO's/finishes?

Foster's opponents, for the most parts, you thought were dead.

Julian just turned their lights out, literally out cold as soon as he hit them.

I think Foster. But it's close and Jackson had better comp and is the greater fighter. But the way Foster put people out, it's one of my favourite things to watch in boxing.

His follow through left hook after an opponent slipped (or he missed) that dropped the opponents dead was brutal.

Jackson threw some real nice shots and his timing was near perfect. He was also a very good counter puncher. But I think Foster was more brutal, bigger guys tend to be.

    Jackson the greater fighter?
    Arguable.

Foster was the more skilled fighter. The pressure of his footwork was intense and sublime.

Jackson's power was scarier I think. But then I've been Chairman of the Anti-Bob Foster League for a while now I guess.

I agree with your premise. Foster makes most top 100 lists not so with Julian. I would pick Foster by some margin

Care to? I think that Jackson did better whilst moving up and that he had better comp, and beat better names.

Foster was super dominate but his best wins are over an old Tiger and Cotton and 2 over Henry Hank. Whilst Jackson's are over Norris and Graham. For me Jackson's are better, and I definitely prefer Foster, but it comes down to who did better when moving up. Which for me was clearly Jackson.

I can see a case for Foster, based on consistency, but he was only really consistent at 175.

Well I said arguable, so it’s entirely legitimate that you would pick Jackson.
I just think skill wise Foster was better, although Jackson’s skill set was underrated, he’s perceived by many as just being a banger.
As for better success moving up I think moving from light heavy to heavyweight is a tougher ask than junior middle to middleweight although resume wise I agree, Jackson edges it.
Like I said, this is arguable!!

Both hit very hard but foster was a dominant champ and was a better all round fighter .Jackson with out his bang would be a very average fighter.also nobody took bob out a his normal weight like Mc Callum did to Jackson.

Foster had some explosive KO's at light heavy but I've never seen so many guys frozen in mid air or fall in a freaky pose as when they were nailed by Julian Jackson - either hand - he had Frost on his mitts - hard pressed to think of KO's like his and have seen many brutal punchers on film and live

Find Fosters ko of Mike Quarry, it literally looks like he'd been shot
