    How can you know that? You've never seen Denver Ed Martin on the tape.
    Yeah, Frazier is a monster to face as a smaller man. How about Zora Folley or Doug Jones? Were they also too good for any LHW in history?

    No, he was more durable because he was more durable. Burns was stopped only twice - once in his last fight when he was in poor condition and once against Jack Johnson.

    They didn`t use the high guard in Johnson`s day, Johnson picked shots off with out-stretch gloves but fighters main form of defense back then was clinching.

    This. I like Foster and thought he was an excellent light heavyweight, but his style just didn’t translate well at heavyweight.

    True, but Willard was nowhere near Ali or Frazier`s level and may have been beaten by Foster`s other heavyweight opponents too.

    I'm not even talking abot Willard - I think that even a corpse of Jeffries would beat Foster and he weighed almost 230 lbs - he was much bigger than Frazier.

    I'm also talking about someone like Denver Ed Martin - one of the best boxers of this era.
