Belting Bob versus the two current kings. Does the Praying Mantis take them both out or do one or both land first?

    Two 15 rds fights.

It would be cruel to put Adonis Stevenson in the ring against the murderous
punching Bob Foster who has but ONE Hand.
As far as Kovalev is concerned. I love the "Krusher" but based on what I have seen thus far I think that Bob Foster would get there "fust with the Mostess" and kos Kovalev, but I cannot count Sergey completely out of the picture...
But in modern times the prime LH Ezzard Charles along with the Billy Conn of the first Louis fight beat Foster IMO... Handsome Billy was tough as nails that night.

I like "Boab" Foster too. He would be too much for any lightheavy today....amd I agree with burt in putting Conn and Charles in that elite that would defeat Foster.

I would like to hold off until after the Stevenson vs Kovalev fight in the fall (assuming Kovalev wins his mando over the spring/summer) in making a prediction. At this point I would give Foster an edge. If Kovalev were to defeat Stevenson in an impressive fashion it would give me pause. More so than his natural abilities I like Kovalev's mindset.

Kovalev could well beat Foster. Although only heavyweights stopped Bob, he was no iron man.

Foster's jab would be the difference against Stevenson. He'd blast the pimp.

I was impressed by Kovalev against Pascal, his movement and use of the jab are superior to Stevenson's .I initially favoured the Haitian to stop him but give the Russian an edge now, he seems more adaptable.

I agree. Going into the Pascal fight I thought a bout with Stevenson was a 50/50 proposition. I now feel that Kovalev has a decided edge. The more I see of Stevenson since the dramatic win over Dawson the less impressed I've become. He obviously possesses a world class left that could stop anyone (and I felt that there was a good chance Kovalev could be caught being aggressive) but outside of that he is looking more stiff and robotic, whereas Kovalev has shown impressive boxing fundamentals in his last two fights and great patience. Still a very entertaining fight that I hope gets made this year.

I would have to pick Bob Foster right now, not only was he a GREAT puncher but he was also skilled and durable at 175lbs. Kovalev has a lot of promise and it remains to be seen what else he will accomplish but at this point in time I will have to go with Foster...as far as Stevenson I dont see him getting past Fosters power but it could be an exciting fight.

Kovalev would be one of Foster toughest foes at 175lbs though

Foster is going to whip light heavies who can't punch very hard. These two can.

We need to see more of Kovalev, but based on his power/skills and Foster's inability to take power, I'd favor Kovalev to beat Foster.

I think Stevenson is a one handed type of fighter, and Foster would beat him. Stevenson though would have a puncher's chance.

I happen to like Kovalev a lot, as you should know, since you know everything else (or rather, you think you do).. .but let's be realistic at this point. The Russian might ascend to the heights where he could be thought to beat Foster.
