I say let Kov get a bit more seasoning before we consider Bob Foster.

Foster is going to whip light heavies who can't punch very hard. These two can.

We need to see more of Kovalev, but based on his power/skills and Foster's inability to take power, I'd favor Kovalev to beat Foster.

I think Stevenson is a one handed type of fighter, and Foster would beat him. Stevenson though would have a puncher's chance.

Doug Jones was a light heavyweight and he stopped Foster.

Kovalev looks like the best light heavy since Roy Jones. And I think he hits harder than any light heavy Foster defeated.

Bullsh*t! Jones weighed 182lbs when he faced the 3days notice replacement, 174lbs ,9 fight Foster. A simple "I was wrong," would be nice but not expected and no doubt not forthcoming.

Doug Jones started out as a light heavy. When I say he was a light heavyweight I am correct. No doubt he could have made 175 if he needed to.

Technically you are correct that he was over the 175 limit when they fought. Doug Jones was NO puncher, and he stopped Foster at 182 pounds. I'll stand on my point that Foster had a questionable chin vs hitters.

30;35 mark to see Foster's end. Foster had legs like a new born dear, and a skinny body. Those builds usually do not take punches well. He's not lasting long vs Kovalev, and would need a stoppage well before round 8.

Who was the hardest punching light heavyweight Foster defeated?

Kovalev and Stevenson hit much harder than Doug Jones did...by a measurable margin.

That's an interesting take on the situation after some of our disagreements.

Ali started out as a light heavy.
Patterson stated out as a middle.
Langford started out as a lightweight.
    Johnson as a welter.
    Burns as a welter.
    Fitz as a light middle.
    Charles as a middle.
    Tunney as a middle.
    Dempsey as a middle.
    Schmeling as a light heavy.
    etc etc etc.

    Which means exactly what?

Jones had 19 fights around the light heavy limit and 21 as a heavyweight.
Sandy Saddler had a similar build to Foster although smaller, he had no problem taking punches.
Your comment is a sweeping generalization that has no basis in fact.
Jones stopped a 9 fight novice Foster who had just 3 days notice for the fight.

Foster did not show a questionable chin against Light Heavyweights which was exactly the point I made. He also went the distance with several heavyweight without being floored. you've been exposed here but haven't the grace to admit it, so predictable .

What stalking? I replied to your post same as you did mine in the one punch knock out thread.

I think its obvious you have a pronounced bias on the matter. You have argued vigorously with me that Bivins was a LHW but regarding Jones, are now arguing the exact opposite. Be consistent.

You do know Kovalev is listed as a light heavyweight but is actually bigger than Jones, entering the ring at 188 and higher.

A: Braddock was a light heavyweight when he was a light heavyweight and a heavyweight when he was a heavyweight.

    Mongoose,

McVey is the king of double standards. Facts and cross examination do no matter with him. He'll take in what he likes and disregard the rest.
