I’m inclined to agree. Eddie Gregory was durable, skilled, and could punch. Of course it’s not easy to readily pick anyone at 175 lbs to beat Bob Foster, but Gregory is as good a candidate as any.
Prime Bob Foster, 1968-1974, wins this one by unanimous decision over Eddie Mustafa Muhammad. Eddie is a much better fighter than Ray Anderson. Eddie did last 15 rounds against WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Victor Galindez in 1977, losing a close decision in a bout that was marred by low blows by each. Bob would have to move and set up his combos behind his left jab. Mustafa was a very underrated boxer and he did pack a punch, which Foster would be very aware of before the bout. Mustafa would be able to withstand Foster's left hook that he would also be aware of prior to this fight, and Eddie has a very sound defense.
I really liked a focused Eddie and would pick him to beat a lot of good light heavyweights, but Bob belongs in the upper tier of ATG fighters at 175, Spinks , Charles and Moore .Eddie is a little less than those guys.
