Being as that Calzaghe spoke long of his troubles of making 168, under day-before weigh in procedures, I don't see it being unfair to compare Calzaghe to LHWs in prior eras.

Even if there had been an 168 lb. division then, logic tells you he'd be fighting at 175 on same-day weigh ins.

Calzaghe was by no means a bad fighter, I think those who underrate him are often just doing it to annoy those who overrate him. Calzaghe was a very good fighter, but he isn't beating Foster.

Foster actually has the weaker resume.

:goodagreed.foster was a huge puncher and although I think calzaghe is under rated especially by lovers of harry greb, sam Langford etc etc, foster at some point would ko him.

Foster by brutal, embarassingly easy KO.

This can't be a serious question.

Joe would be heading back to Whales in a pine box.

Probably Foster.. But I hope people aren't actually daft enough to base that prediction on Calzaghe's only two actual showings at light heavyweight.

No, I base it on Joe being hurt in his PRIME by MUCH less fighters, and punchers than Foster.

I also base it on Foster have a freakishly long reach, and very quick hands.
