I've got the Wassaja fight so i'll look on the weekend. What fight of Fosters (where he throws a triple hook) are you comparing them with, i'll also have a look at that one hopefully. Spinks handspeed is quite ok and certainly no weakness, but i'd never class it as a strength. Of course his other assets made his speed of hand more than fine. Not many have it all. If Spinks had genuine speed i'd be naming in the threads of most rounded fighters ever.
There is no 'comfortable decision' to be won against Bob Foster. Do people really think Spinks would be able to force a knockout? Foster would be the hunter. If only slightly more powerful than Spinks, Foster was quicker off the mark, far more aggressive and would be doing all the stalking. I happen to believe Foster was a smarter boxer than Spinks, too - but Spinks made up for it with a bit of extra durability and some herky-jerkiness which could confuse less savvy (and even some savvy) fighters. Foster outjabs Spinks for a competitive but undisputed points win in a surprisingly boring fight.
i dont know , it could go either way. i really like michael spinks for some reason and he had great boxing skill but foster had great power . if foster doesnt knock him out i think mike could take a majority.
Foster, for many of the reasons Manassa mentioned. I also don't agree that Spinks hit almost as hard. For me, Foster was clearly superior as a puncher.
