From 1977 to 1981 Saad was a Lightheavy force to be reckoned with.

Could Saad take the Foster early onslaught, then slowly wear Foster down with power punches of his own?

(Ironically Bob Foster refereed Saad's fight against Marvin Camel in 1976)

Foster hits tooooooo hard. There would be no comeback in this one. You cannot give Foster the sort of headstart that was Saad's M.O.

..............Agreed, John. Saad is just too susceptible to all sorts of punches, and Foster's were like lasers. I see Foster just slicing the hell out of Saad with that jab. Could end either via stoppage on cuts or with Saad being clean knocked out, but it ends within the distance.

I know Saad had that incredible jaw and all,,,,but if he took Fosters bombs all night you'd worry about brain damage, if he didn't fall along the way. I think Foster hit hard enough to stop Saad.

More like worrying where you'd be buying a plot for his casket.

Foster not only hit harder but was better boxer. Saad very tough, but not in Foster's league.

Saad would be marching in ,he would cause Foster some hairy moments but Beltin Bob would crucify his face with that jab and his power punches, a late stoppage in favour of Foster is on the cards imo.

I really believe that Foster would stop Saad cold within 4 rounds. Saad caught too many punches from guys in the early rounds before he warmed up, and this would have proved fatal against Bob Foster.

Foster by k.o. A brutal beating and k.o. inside of eight rounds. Saad would be out boxed and out gunned and out cold.

Terrible matchup for Saad! He was notorious for withstanding great punishment, and coming back to win, but in this fight that all backfires on him. This isnt Marvin Johnson, or Yauqi Lopez hitting him, Foster was a different type of animal entirely. Foster brutally stops Saad inside of 7.

Foster was not your ordinary lightheavy, surely not one that would have merely dealt out routine punishment to Saad before wilting in the later rounds. Reference the killer that stalked Vincente Rondon before executing him, or the beheadings of Tiger and Quarry. Saad would have been taken out before round 6.

I agree with the consensus of Foster by stoppage (albeit on cuts imo), but I wouldn`t rule out Saad completely here. Matthew has the power to turn this fight around if he connects with his atomic right hand, and if history has shown us anything its that if you are willing to pay the price you can get inside on anyone, and I think Saad would have done just that.

He wouldn`t be outboxing Bob from long-range, so he`d have to get in close and try and rough Bob inside, and if anyone had the chin and durability to withstand the incoming fire while working his way inside on Foster it would be Saad. Now wether he succeeds in getting Bob out of there before his face is cut to ribbons I do not know, but he sure as hell would have let Bob know he was in a fight when all is said and done.

Completely agree,RB. Recently have been watching some Sadd fights, and his resilency and determination are just unbelievable!!! Sadd in his prime, gives ANYBODY a rough fight, Foster included.
