This would go the same way for Leonard that it would for the original Sugar. Foster by KO.

Yes, how dare a past prime, overweight cokehead pick a fight with a destructive young champion in his prime with a several stone natural weight advantage. What a cherrypicking ****, Leonard deserves no credit.

against Foster he might want a catchweight of 147.. Ray would not be able to beat Foster at 175. As some have stated he had Lalonde fight at 168.

Wonder why Robinson had the "huevos" to move up and try to take Maxim?

This. It's a ****ing joke that the Lalonde win has been so discredited.

The day-before weigh-in was in effect at this time, so Lalonde was probably still at least 175 lbs in the ring. Against a past prime natural WW. Yeah, a real walk in the park for Leonard.

Actually, Leonard took on more challenges than Robinson. SRR has by far the greater record, but he stayed clear of guys like Burley and the Cocoa Kid. And it's not like he went up against a brutal puncher at LHW. Had Moore or Johnson been the champ, I'm pretty sure Ray would have happily stayed at MW.

Prime Bob Foster against Ray Loenard?...you're kidding...right? Saw him fight Andy Kendall in Springfield Mass. in 1969.....he'd want no part of a prime Foster...
