Bob Foster was technically better than both Ward and Kovalev

Did you just use Huck vs Povektin as an example of how todays superheavies are overrated? I swear some of you just type without even knowing what you're trying to say.

Casual Pro Boxing fans tend to forget the distinction between Heavyweight and Superheavyweight.
I think it's safe to say that today, pro boxing heavyweight ranks are populated with many more Superheavyweights relative to the past.

You seem upset, why is that? We can use a 50 year old, shot Holyfield completely nullifying the biggest SHW champ in history, out boxing him only to get robbed on the cards. How about 6'2 Lamon Brewster making a prime Wlad doing the drunken ****** then proceeds to knock him out?

Boxing has regressed whether you like it or not, inside game and head movement is practically non existent in HW boxing.

You can go on about the point you were trying to make despite my post having never addressed it but that doesn't change the fact that you think a 6'2" Huck being competitive with a 6'2" Povektin somehow supports your point.

Right now Kov is the beast of the division! But if Foster was in there I think Kov would have a great deal of respect for Fosters power and would fight a little differently than he is doing now. Foster could put Kov to sleep with one punch and Kov would know this! I can't say who wins but that would be one hell of a fight!

How did i somehow missed "ALL the success" rjj and jt hadv@hw.. I saw a jacked up 200lb rjj out point a 230 ruin, and jt did put a pasting on holy field. Other than those 2 fights I fail to understand where ALL their success cane from.

Rjj 1/0 @hw, if he stayed at hw he would be punch drunk right now.

Jt is punch drunk and I can't see how he could even have a winning recorrd @ hw.

this bob foster is amazing crap is a load of nonsense, who the **** did he beat?

Dick Tiger - a 5'8 40 year old middleweight who died two years later of liver damage
Frank Depaula - a guy so bad he had already lost to a 40 dick tiger
Andy Kendall - a glorified journeyman is being kind
Roger Rouse - the man had lost 6 of he's previous 8 fights before fostter
Mark Tessman - bum, already knocked out by a past it useless fighter
    Hal Carroll - bum
Ray anderson - bum knocked out 11 times
tom hicks - bum 18-12 record
    Brian Kelly - bum
Vincente Rondon - 5 loses previous to foster and was a glorified punch bag with a built up record
Mike Quarry - he's best win a guy with a built up record fight journeyman who went on to do nothing
Chris Finnegan - went life and death with finnegan, a middle of the road fighter not even rated that highly in britian
Pierre Fourie - a hype job who never fought outside south africa who foster went life and death with twice and never did anything after
Jorge Victor Ahumada - 5 loses before foster, DREW with foster and went on to do nothing, beaten easily by john contah

he is then remembered as this super man because he went up to heavyweight and got beaten to a pulp by joe frazier and mohammed ali in fights that werent one bit competitive

where are all the great wins from the so called atg light heavyweight? name 1 good fighter he beat in their prime? you cant the man beat no one and is a complete myth

Foster was bang average and kovalev would put him in hospital within 4 rounds

Povetkin was overrated to begin with so that's a bad comparison. Huck showed how a good CW beats up but loses to an overrated HVW.

Bobs an ATG and immensely skilled, of course he was better, until these guys prove they can match his feats at LHW.

Do you want me to go through the modern day luminaries Kovalev's beat?
His best win was against a 50 year old way over the hill Bernard Hopkins, who he couldn't come near to stopping.
I like Kovalev, but why diss Foster just because some take him to beat your hero?
If Foster's opposition are deemed to be weak, and that's only an opinion then all he can do is beat them and in some cases wiped them out.
By the way Finnegan was an Olympic champion and a mighty fine fighter who was as tough as they come and who's John Contah?
