Sapp pushing Hoost around the ring like a newborn baby wasn't against K1 rules.

As much of a disgraceful laughingstock Sapp has devolved into , what shouldn't be forgotten and often gets completely ignored is the tremendous heart and grit he displayed in the 2 fights vs Hoost. He had to eat dozens of flush hooks and debilitating lowkicks to get to that glass chin. He also fought most of the 2nd fight with a broken jaw and hand (which forced him out of the GP). For whatever reason he just had it stuck in his mind that he wasn't losing those fights.

I think if he improved his defense and never fought at heavyweight, he may have had a good career at Cruiserweight

I think a guy like Deleon would have always beaten him, to be honest.

Actually it is. They just didn't enforce the rules for Sapp because he was a draw at the time.

No it isn't, you can check out the rules yourself.

 Yeah, OK, that might be true too. He was friggin enormous.

Anyway, I'm just trying to evaluate him as close to reality as I can. If he was truly THAT bad ... what does it say about Nogueira and Hoost? It makes Cro Cop's win over him worthless as well, whereas I think it was huge at the time.

And sure, I agree afterwards he really did become awful, because he no longer wanted to win / get hurt.

Hoost fought the wrong fight, it does not take much to overpower NOG.

Sapp is the living proof that being HUGE doesn't mean much in fighting.

The punch CroCop hit him with wasn't even that strong. Pulverized his orbital bone.

    Sapp is a glass giant

Hes best technique is the sideways fall into the fetal position. I'd be surprised if he even trains for fights, he just thinks I'll stand and bang and the first chance to do his 'technique' he takes it.

He's got an official title like VP of something with Road FC... anything for some attention.

I thought CroCop kicked him in the arm and broke his arm?

or am I mixing things up?

Sapp lost his ballz after Crocop. He became a jobber after that.
