Talk about a real pick`em and shootout! Murphy was the more durable guy by far, and while he did not hit as hard as Bob he wasn`t too far behind in terms of punching power. If Murphy comes out guns blazing looking to reach Bob`s shaky chin early he may well walk into a homerun shot and get stretched out like he was against hard-hitting Clarence Henry. Bob could just as easily come out looking to end matters early as well, but Satterfield being the better boxer of the two was smart enough to know he would be better served keeping the fight at a distance against the irishman and take his time to find that opening for his bombs. Murphy had a very leaky defense and wasn`t exactly hard to find, so if Bob fights cautiously he can box his way to a win or catch Murphy coming in eventually and take him out. I`m leaning slightly towards Bob at this point, but wether it goes the distance or not I haven`t quite made up my mind yet.
dpw, All the match-ups you canvas about are a fight fan's dream. New Yorkers woulda trampled themselves trying to get to the Garden to see Satterfield-Murphy. I'da been one of'em.
I would take Murphy by kayo. They were both vicious punchers but Murphy had a better chin. It would be an awesome fight for the fans in any event!
