I think Chacon would beat him up. It would be fun as hell though. Chacon-Lopez shows that he’s at a much higher level at his best. I feel Little Red is a lot better than Chico.

Corrales was much bigger at the weight and an absolute killer at 130lbs. Basically a 130lb George Foreman.

An introduction to Corrales, 10 of his best KOs, well worth the watch

I'd bet the house on Corrales against an 5'5 ex FW here

Chacon would be at a huge size disadvantage because he would be getting into the ring at 132 and Corrales would be at least a welterweight if not a junior middle. Even if Chacon weighed in the day before he'd still only be about 135,138 and he'd be hog fat and ineffective at the weight; see the Mancini fight.
If they fought at 130 with same day weigh ins, they wouldn't. There is no possible way that Corrales could make 130 at noon and fight at 8. It would kill him.

You can do it without being too drained. Drink loads and loads of water and stop 18 hours before weigh in. Then sit in the steam room all day, take a load of vitamin C to **** out as much water as possible. The trick is calculating how long you need to get in the steam room for, staying at 130 for an increased period of time will ruin you, if you just do it for the weigh in and then rehydrate and recarb you can still gain the water back and carb load a bit

It's something boxers have got much better at but it's not like Corrales wasn't doing it against other weight drainers too

    Yes, I know.
But there is zero chance that Corrales would have weighed in, and fought, at 130 on the same day.

It would be painful to watch, Bobby getting hit by heavy , hurtful combos , time and time again, trying his best to turn the tide, but to no avail, finally the ref has to step in to save him, this bravest of fighters. Corrales, too big , too strong , too good.

It's funny on this board that sometimes size DOES matter.

Corrales is very underrated in general. He was superb at 130, short of the Floyd fight.

I think he takes the hittable Chacon apart, tbh.
