I could actually picture McGuigan going all Olivares on Chacon and stopping him. Barry was exceptionally strong and put his punches together well and didn't stand there in harm's way the way Lopez did, allowing Chacon to continually turn him and paste him with right hands. He wasn't that basic. If turning him was all it took to beat McGuigan, Pedroza would have totally outclassed him, aged and decrepit as he was.
Not too sure. Have tremendous respect for Chacon as a boxer- one of the few boxers that I NEVER saw quit trying to win even when he was getting dominated. Barry I think gets sold short sometimes. Loved his body attack and if the heat hadnt done him in would have had a different career. One thing I am sure of is it would have been a great fight.
This one has 3-fight series written all over it. Barry cruises to a decision the first time, Chacon ups the ante to win the second. Then it comes down to who has what left for the third. Bobby seems to thrive on blood-and-guts extended wars so I will go with him nipping it.
