I like Chacon all the way, but '85 McGuigan would be tuff to beat at 126 pounds....

McGuigan prolly would've beated Cruz in 1986 had the fight been in a cooler location other than Vegas with 100 degree heat... McGuigan never fought in temps like the Vegas desert offered... Cruz was from Texas and lived in high temps....

McGuigan faded pretty fast. He had a tough fight with Danilo Cabrera even before the
Cruz loss. His best win was probably over Bernhard Taylor, who couldn't take his body attack. Prime Chacon at 126 was a good boxer, but partied too much. If he trained right, I think he'd oupoint McGuigan. If not, Barry could ko him with his non-stop attack. I'll go with Chacon by decision.

Bobby would likely wear Barry down and overwhelm him in the later rounds. l think he was a slightly better boxer and a more durable man. Bobby also fought in better class, albeit losing most of the big ones, but he showed more heart over a longer career.

Barry was good, but didn't have enough at top level. Shame really, because he's such a nice bloke. Although the heat beat Barry as much as Cruz he was never the same again. His peak was short lived and he didn't have enough left for a serious comeback.
