How do you see this intriguing match up go between Chacon and Mitchell? Does Chacon make this a tough all-out brawl or can Mitchell outbox Chacon?

My heart wants Chacon to win …but my brain says Mitchell outboxes him

I love both guys for completely different reasons: Bobby is a heart-on-his-shirtsleeve warrior and Brian is a cool-as-the-other-side-of-the-pillow technician.

I just can’t see the Schoolboy imposing his will on Mitchell and turning it into a slugfest — his kind of fight.

Brian is too skilled, too good at controlling distance and has too high a ring IQ to play into Bobby’s hands. If it’s a boxing match, a test of skills, Mitchell comfortably walks away with a decision. And that’s what I’d expect to see here.

Brian excelled in the pocket slipping and countering with more skill, and had to prove it always on the road .. BUT I'm going against the grain. As Bobby's competition is so much far superior than Brains , as he fought so many tougher better boxers. .I'm taking the school boy from LA being a little bit too tough for Brian in a

I have not seen enough Chacon to make a fair evaluation. But I will say that Mitchell excelled in beating come-forward sluggers. He'd make them miss, tag them, move or duck make them miss and repeat. Ironic since he himself started out as a slugger they called 'the meatgrinder' locally.

Chacon was deceptively slick, skilled, had a boatload of dog in him. And he could punch. Unless you can punch like Olivares, it's a hard row to hoe. I think he beats Brian, who I feel is underrated.

Brian Mitchell is so overrated on here. Why is he held in so high regard when his resume was so thin?

Chacon was less consistent, but his resume was miles better.

Beat every man he ever faced. If you watch a lot of his fights you develop a sense of just how good an all round fighter and boxer he was.

I've watched plenty of Mitchell fights. Every single one available. In fact some of the rarer ones that you'll find on YouTube are posted by my channel.

    Very solid fighter. Thin resume.

I was at both of Mitchell's fights with Tony Lopez in Sacramento. Brian handled Tony pretty well. The first fight they called a draw but that was Tony 's hometown.
In the 2nd fight Mitchell outboxed him in a very impressive manner. It was so good they couldn't even steal it.
Brian was able to counter right from the pocket. I dont know what Bobby could've done that Tony didnt try to do. They were similar styles. Tony Lopez was a very good 130lber.
