Chacon vs French two fights one at featherweight over 15 rounds And one at super-featherweight over 12
I think the Schoolboy wins both in two barnburners. Chacon had sufficient pop to tamp down Fenech's frenetic attacks. The fans would be the winners.
At 126 Chacon was too inconsistent and could wilt down the stretch. Taking the version that beat Little Red? Still take Fenech on points. The emotional Chacon at 130 that came through Hell to beat Limon? Over 15 he could do the better work and beat Fenech who was sliding post-126. Once 12 rounds were introduced? Well Chacon was a bloody mess who clearly lost to Boza 2nd time around despite having some success so I might well take Fenech to win that. In short; a toss-up and guaranteed war when putting these two together anywhere near their best.
two of my favorites...I just think Fenech would bring to much pressure and be strong inside for Chacon...I doubt he would stop Chacon, but I don't think this will be as close as has been hinted at...perhaps I need to rethink it based upon that.
