Does anyone know anything that stemmed from the alleged foul play on the night? I just saw the fight and Czyz claimed to the ringside doctor and referee that he had chemicals in his eyes and quit the fight resulting in a TKO to Holyfield. Oh and for the record, atrocious commentating that night. Bobby was a lot further in the fight than they were giving him credit.
I dont buy that crap about Holyfield purposely looking bad, he made himself look bad. Since when was he a one round KO artist? Czyz was the smaller man but a technically good fighter. Holyfield fought a stupid uncharacteristic fight, the same fight that got him put on his ass by Bert Cooper. He marched out as soon as the bell rang and started trying to knock him out. As soon as he settled down and realized he had to systematically break down Czyz, he started hitting him cleanly. Who knows what was going in Holy's corner, I believe the Tyson fight was already a done deal, so maybe they wanted to make extra sure Czyz didnt upset the apple cart.
Czyz performed well technically- given the circumstance he was in(that being Evander Holyfield was in front of him nd twice the size). One of the commentators were saying Czyz wanted to see Tyson.
Bobby was just trying to save face.He quit, flat out. Not that i hold it against him or anything btw.
His eyes definitely looked red. I just found an inteview charles white did with him. He claims his face was peeling the next day and got it checked by a doctor and found it to be an exfoliating agent chemical burns. I personally think he gave up and maybe his own crew did it(if it did happen). I can't see any reason Holyfield want that.
all the more reason not to **** it up. Czyz had no hope of beating Holyfield. No need to resort to cheating.

Bobbys eyes looked red because he was rubbing at them, and he was on his way to a very painful loss anyhow.. Evanders timing was off, but Tyson did select (or should I say King) Evander after the bout to meet Mike, because it looked like great timing to Evander off the wish list Mike had in his head... It backfired when Evander raised his game to another level to meet and greet Tyson on that eventful night at the MGM.. Bobby was never even in that fight......... and Evander didn't intentionally look flat either, styles were just bad on the night... No foreign bodies on the gloves either...
Good question, Im so technically nonadvanced I dont even know how to do that neat multi quote thing.. As far as Holyfield, people do funny things when it comes to large amonts of money, another reason why, even though Czyz's doctor said there was a stimulant on his skin, nothing was said further.:hey
thats what i was after. thanks a lot. as for multi quote. i just reopen multiple windows to quote someone and copy paste it into 1 msg. Theres probably an easier way but it does the trick.
Czyz and his "Burning Eyes" was an exit plan for Bobby............ Holy was ahead and in complete control in 1996, and Czyz knew it after round 3.......... Czyz was looking for a TKO loss way out; not a KO loss......... You hear me???? :scaredas:atsch MR.BILL
Exactly. Czyz was getting battered from pillar to post by the bigger Holyfield and threw up the lame excuse to get out of danger. He didn't want any more.
