There were rumblings of Hearns fighting Czyz in 1994 after Hearns demolished Dan Ward. It would have been a great fight, one that would have produced fireworks. Who wins?

Even in 1994 Hearns destroys him if Czyz couldn't get past Prince Charles Williams jab Hearns will eat him alive at range.

I don’t know. Freddie Delgado very nearly had Tommy in 1994 and Bobby Czyz lost to the obscure David Izeguire that very same year. If the match took place even just a couple years earlier I’d make Hearns a very heavy favorite but at this junction? It’s hard to gauge which one had more left

Both were well past it, but I think I'd go with Hearns here. Czyz looked gassed and just completely beaten by Izegwire that year after 4 rounds. Hearns would probably land enough right hands to make Czyz quit on his stool. Not sure how willing Czyz was to gut out a tough fight at that point in his career.

There were rumblings of these two fighting way before 1994 IIRC. They both had Light-Heavyweight belts in 1987, and I believe Czyz was calling for the fight at the time. There was never a time where I would have favored Czyz though.

Czyz could not win big fights. Hearns would have beaten him easy. Yes Hearns could be chinny but Czyz would not be able to pull that off.

In the 80s, Bobby wanted no part of any of the "big four". Even in 1994 I'd still go with Hearns.

I think Tommy would win by late round TKO. Czyz was too open for Tommy's sharp punches. Czyz always wanted Tommy like many guys wanted that name on their records as Tommy got older. But if Czyz could not beat Hill or Andries whom Hearns beat how could he claim he could beat Hearns or that he deserved the fight?

Tommy puts Bobby to sleep, when and where ever they fight.

I have Tommy winning. Big shame this fight didn't happen, would have made Tommy the first boxer to win world titles in six divisions. A welterweight becoming cruiserweight champion lol
