Both of you guys are tough...Yes Bobby Dawson was the first opponent of Gene Tunney..Dawson was considered a great prospect in 1915,when Tunney stopped Dawson in the 9th round in MSG...Incidentally hh at a boxing seminar in New Hampshire,in the 1950s,which Ruby Goldstein conducted,I had a twenty minute boxing chat alone with Goldstein after the formal seminar at a resort...Interesting comments from "The Jewel of the ghetto"...He was one of my dad' idols as a young boxer...b.b.
