Bob Dunlop passed away following a heart attack in March, 2000. He was living in northern NSW at the time.

Dunlop fought from 1963 to 1969.
    career stats 39-6-0

Box Rec shows no death date.

Always very fit with good skills. Would have been a good match up
    with Danny Green.

When Bobby was fighting, there was always an interesting read in the sports pages for boxing fans.
    Bob featured several times.

I remember walking down Elizabeth St past Hyde Park with a scouse shipmate. Jimmy, that had done a bit in the ring.
Bobby ran everwhere. On this day he came bounding towards us sidestepping pedestrians like it was part of his training.
As he approached us, he sort of confused Jimmy who shuffled around a bit but Bob slipped by without incident.
Jimmy looked after him & said "I should have put one on the goose. He near knocked me over"
I said "If you had have mate, you might have picked up a title. That was the Empire Light heavy champ, Bobby Dunlop"
"****, was it?" Was all Jimmy said.:lol::lol:
