both had their best time as welters (even thought dupas won the jr. middle title later on, he was past it by then). dupas had that great foot movement, dykes was freakishly tall and had that excellent jab. who wins??? skinny bobby or the cayun ghost????
I think Bobby Dykes got robbed against SRR when they fought ..I think-without checking-in 1950.I've never seen Dupas-but my uncle was stationed in New Orleans in the fifties;he claims the expression "you gotta knock him out to get a draw" was invented because of Dupas.
