For some reason stuff like this really upsets MMA purists and they start listing all the ways to destroy anyone who try’s Boxing tactics in MMA.
Bobby Green is a crafty veteran mma fighter with solid all round skills. Whilst I'm a fan of Mayweather the boxer, as an mma competitor he has ZERO skills other than his boxing. No wrestling, no BJJ, no kicks, no elbows etc etc etc. He would be clueless in a legit mma fight against a legit opponent. You bring up Bobby Green, just imagine if he fought Mayweather. Of course he wouldn't just stand and box with Mayweather, he would have him on the floor and brutalize him 100%. I like Bobby Green but he is just a ufc journeyman. You say that Floyd could maybe beat a lower level mma fighter but what would be the point of him fighting some can from the regional circuit with a 6-4 record. I'm sure all elite level boxers could probably beat low level mma fighters. So what ? Beating cans means nothing. Floyd will NEVER fight in mma and certainly not against any remotely worthwhile opponent.
