So this guy shows a bit of potential and has come in to the MMA scene in a quiet sportsman like manor (Jason Guida is a dick and started with him).

My question is, should he be fighting someone as experienced as Bob Sapp?

Is his managers trying too hard to turn him into the next Lesnar.

I think he will beat Sapp but I don't think he should be fighting someone as experienced as Sapp.

I guess its good though that they aren't making him fight has beens like Kimbo was...... except for Bob Sapp:lol:

But he is trying to fight descent fights at least!!!

Not really he seems to be getting moved at the right speed for me. Guida rarely beats anyone with talent and Sapp is just the same except he looks like a beast. I think Lashley if he is any good should put Sapp away in a round or 2

To be honest in MMA Sapp isnt anything special at all. But this will be a very interesting affiar as Sapp certainly has way more fighting experience. The more athletic man will win though. Sapp is easy to get to the mat and if Lashley shoots early he can mount him and force him to tap from strikes which is relatively easy as Sapp's pain threshold is quite low.

TUF :) Someone like Lashley would have been ideal for it but hey he has a living to make.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Lashley pop up in Japan. I'm surprised DREAM or Sengoku hasn't tried to woo him over yet. The Japanese love larger than life fighters like him.

Lashley is a 5-1 favorite in this fight by the way. As un-proven as he is, Sapp is just a big heavy bag these days.

Lashley should take this easily. Sapp never was a MMA great and Lashley does have a real solid base he is building on.

Bob Sapp is the same guy that can get subbed by Minowa in under a minute...

Lashley will have no problem taking Sapp down, and if he knows anything about subs, he could end it on the ground.

Dont be so quick to dismiss Sapp. He has a very decent record in the K1 defeating the likes of Hoost twice, and Kimo... Sapps sheer size and awesome physical strength make him a formidable opponent on that basis alone. But Sapp has a horrible chin, terrible stamiina and mentally folds very quickly. If Lashley has done his homework this should be over quickly.

The Hoost fights are the most shocking! But even when he wins he looks dreadful. In MMA i dont see Sapp having any advantages other than size..

If we see the Sapp from the Nog fight, than Lashley is in trouble.

The Hoost fights are awesome and at the same time I can't believe this is happening moment.
