Yes. Fedor is still a draw outside of the UFC and still generates interest. Either way he's done well out of MMA. So i doubt his motivation is money. He's one of the best competitors in the sport and obviously his competitive juices still burn brightly.

cross_trainer mentioned that Lashley was good as a keep busy fight, as in, it keeps him occupied until the next real challenge. My query was who that challenge was going to be.

I think he's rebuilding his style to make himself more competitive as an older fighter. Once that happens, I expect him to try for the UFC or the next-largest competitor (whatever that is when he's ready).

If he's serious about rebuilding and gets his motivation back I'd love to see him kick some ass in the UFC. He's still got a great skillset, and his speed and reflexes haven't gone.

If Sergei Kharitonov doesn't sign with the UFC, that would be a good all-Russian scrap. It's a fight I'd have loved to have seen in PRIDE round around 04-05, and would still be a lot more entertaining than Lashley.

  7. Whats with these idiotic move to the UFC talk?

the UFC cant offer him anything, especially when Fedor is living large, hanging with Putin, getting millions wherever he goes, and building his own promotion.

Fedor's new style and game plan is now working, skill wise Fedor is still the best or better than 99% in single disciplines and is the best all rounder. Going back to Sambo should reignite his ground game even further, his new K-1 coaches has also reignited his more all round kickboxing game. Experience wise Fedor is one of the most experienced and he still has one of the best gas tank in MMA especially now that he competes more often.

 You are ****ed in the head. Brock was nothing special, but he was infintely better than Lashley.

If Lashley was any good the UFC would have ****ing snapped him up in a milisecond. They would have made him another Brock, unfortunately he is **** and even Dana knew better than to sign him.

  9. Sergei would be a great fight.

Fedor could also do a reverse of what all these UFC fighters have been doing. Instead of UFC fighters picking off past their prime Pride fighter, Fedor could pick off UFC champions who are no longer in the UFC.

Um yeah he already beat Arlovski and Sylvia. The 2 heavyweight champs from when the UFC heavyweight division was seen as a joke compared to PRIDE. Seriously, grow up and stop with the horrible fanboyism. Fedor is the best HW of all time and his run up to 2006 was brilliant. Since then he's got tied up with M1 and his career has descended into a joke. He spent so long fighting cans that when he went to stepped it back up and went to SF he was beaten 3 times on the trot. He needs to retire for his own health, maybe when he does you'll start to appreciate other fighters.

I'm beginning to suspect that a significant portion of ESB's MMA forum population consists of Zuffa employees and DREAM employees duking it out.

Yes, you either have to be on team A or B. If I ever say anything bad against Pride or anything Fedor related you get thrown into "zombie status"

  13. Whose the better wrestler? Who is the better athlete? Who doesnt run away from punches?

Unfortunately for Bobby, he just wasnt as popular to the red neck trailer trash demographics of the UFC. Even though Bobby was a better athlete, the more experince, and the better record, he was never given the golden handshake.

  14. AA and Sylvia are actually legit fighters who are way past their prime nowdays. AA was a top Sambo fighter and had pretty good hands. Sylvia also held on to his UFC belt for quite a long time and both are proven fighters.

Dana would want you to believe that past UFC fighters like AA and Sylvia are a joke simply because they are no longer useful to him. Dana is a two faced lier who would want people to think that Brock was the baddest man and that more recent UFC champs are any better than the old UFC champs. Carwin is another example of the more recent garbage UFC champs, the guy gassed out in the first round, this just shows his inexperience.

Only Zuffa has been caught out employing trolling methods and having/employing people to troll through forums.

Theres proof of this as well.

I thought Fickelmatter only wanted 'high level" oponents for Fedor yet his last two fight would be against sushii and eyelash. Not 2 guys I would consider "elite". Well maybe M1 Global elite.
