aright guys contributed my first article to MMA zone today on Lashley, http://www.mma-zone.com/2009/bobby-lashley-heavyweight-prospect/#more-1765

Any criticism would be greatly appreciated, haven 't written anything of this n nature before. Anyway...

What do you guys think of Bobby Lashley so far? I think he'd be a handful for many a heavyweight in the divison if he keeps improving and maybe incorporates some more submission skills into his repertoire. Hes keeping very active to, which is surely a good thing.

Solid article. Nicely done. I agree with you completely. If Lashley continues to dedicate himself to MMA - he could be a force in the division in a short amount of time.

    No criticisms from me.

Yeah would be a great match=up, though I think Lesnar would have the advantage.

Cheers guys I might try my hand at writing a piece on boxing at some point, I'll wait until it's something less likely to already have better writers contributing on it

Lesnar would murder him just on the principle of stand up. Bobby just isn't there when it comes to stand up as far as we seen. Not only that Lesnar is fast for a man his size. Lets give LAshley a few years before we start this conversation.

He is promising but lets give him time to improve.

I still think it would be an interesting match-up if only for their similar backgrounds. Lashley has plenty of experience to gain, but I like that hes working his way up the ladder as opposed to jumpling straight in. I for one think Lesnar himself could do with getting a few more fights under his belt

You kiddin? Lesnar would beat Lashley at standup?! Lashley's last opponent before Sapp proved...Lashley can throw some damn hands. He threw a good 5-6 punch flurry, and kept coming at the guy. Has Lesnar even threw 5-6 standing punches in all his fights combined? He NAILED herring, BUT that's the only punch I ever seen. Lesnar doesn't stand...He just hammerfists people to death on the ground...
Even Lashley looked better when he was working Sapp. If it was Lesnar the match would have went to a decision because Lesnar hits his opponents on the ground with pitty pat punches.
If Lesnar wasn't so damn strong he'd have been destroyed a long time ago. PUre strength is the only reason people cannot beat him.

Its simple, Brock Lesnar has fought and beat the best. He sure as hell didn't beat Randy on the ground but hit him big on the feet.

Brocks last two fight were Heath Herring 28-14 and surely battle tested and Randy couture 16-9 and has always fought top competition.

Lashley's last two fights were Mike Cook who happens to be 6-4 Who doesn't have any significant wins, and his lossesaren't against anyone important. And Bob Sapp who is 10-5 and hasn't done anything important.

The two are on total different playing fields. Also Brock is apparently equivelant to a purple belt in BJJ. I have nithing to back that up but one of his trainers mentioned that in an interview going in to the Herring fight.

I would go with Brock by a huge landslide.

Whatever man, I don't think it's that ridiculous to think that a guy who looks impressive enough and has only had four fights, couldn't improve to fight at top-of-the UFC level. I didn't say he would win, just said it could be good fight, partly because Lesnar wouldnt have the huge size and weight advantage he usually would have.

Yes he would. Brock cuts to the heavyweight limit and Lashley is a blown up steroid enhanced 178lber. You really don't know what you're talking about. I don't know why you would even want to write about such a subject.
