Manny's younger and less famous brother Bobby was never that good a boxer but what has always confused me is why Bobby has never been in the limelight seeing how big a star his brother is, He's even fought some known names like Humberto Soto, Antillion and knocked out Kevin Kelley (former WBC featherweight champ) I mean not even a 24/7 appearance or even a mention anywhere, its like hes the forgotten child or something. Its the same with Miguel Cotto's brother Jose Miguel whos taken on Mallignaggi and Alvarez
Unfortunately the only thing they have in common is the family name. Skillwise, charisma and everything else, he doesn't have.
he had a nice streak where he beat Kevin Kelly and Carlos Navarro and then lost by DQ to that guy Pac crushed b4 Morales 2 when Morales lost his tune up fight, i think the guy was hector velazquez Bobby P had a nice run then Soto kicked his ass, Soto called out Manny when they were the same weight it was on boxrec then never came about
I never like Bobby because when Manny was sick he fought in his place and he got knocked out twice, knocked down by a jab, almost quit against the sanchez, outboxed by Morales and Marquez. :-(
Erik Morales also has two boxing brothers, one of them was a belt holder a few years back and I think the other one is only recently a pro.
I thought I saw him on the 24/7 for the Cotto fight, working out with Manny. And about the Hernandez win, it was listed as one of the top fifteen robberies of the last decade by Ring Magazine. Hernandez won that fight, and not by a little. That being said, Bobby wasn't a terrible fighter, he beat some solid gate keepers along the way.
Would have been hilarious to see a fight between Rafael Marquez and Bobby Pacquiao just for the shits and giggles
