Going to try my best to xplain this.
When punching whats the best way to have your upper body aligned with your lower body?
Should you be punching with a straight back or try and lift your chest up and arch your back slightly? Maybe its just different styles affect this?
Don't know if this is a stupid question, just noticed when I was shadowboxing, as i felt i was a lot quicker with my chest up.

If you arch your back and lift your chest up, where does that leave your chin? The answer to this question is: out in the open. Ask your coach for tips on proper stance.

Keep your Feet underneath your Hips which are of course, underneath your Shoulders. Means your stance is neither too wide or too narrow, and allows you to get the maximum amount of body weight into your punches when you rotate the three simutaneously. Keep a slight bend in the Knee's and at the Hips at all times as well.

Are you keeping your chin tucked in while having your chest up? If not, you're waiting to get knocked out cold...

A good way to learn where your feet are for balance and to generate force, is to study your walking Gait. Everybodys is different slightly, its the first thing we learn when erect Biomechanicaly. Study where the back foot is when generating most force, in relation to the Head. Youre walking Gait is your natural stance. Everything is given away by your walk. We spend Hours watching the world go by me and two mates, Diagnosingpeoples Problems, its a great passtime :D
