Bruce's BF wasnt even close to being that low. Percentages that low can kill you. Bruce died because of an allergic reaction - that caused swelling on his brain - to a simple aspirin for a headache.

Anything less than 5% and you start entering the realms where your health is in danger. Additionally a low BF isnt a defacto indication of good health.

Impressive. Most physicians use calipers. You on the other hand can measure BF's just from staring at pictures.

Look its VERY simple. Anything less than 5-6% is EXTREMELY dangerous to your health. Only BB's go that low and they are invariably badly dehydrated come contest time because they are looking for the "hard" striated look. Athletes with BF's approaching those numbers are simply idiots and are clearly not aware of the dangers. There are NO functional benefits of having a body fat percentage that low.

Mike Tyson punched 500lb heavybags off their moorings. Either way this argument is completely academic. Tyson was a professional boxer. Lee was an actor. Granted he came from multi MA disciplines but the facts remain he's ability cannot be qauntified other than lore and some old high light reels. Bruce was exceptional theres no doubting this but P4P more stronger than Tyson? Thats just a waste of time to even argue.

Haha a skinny guy with a lowish bodyfat? Goodbye![/quote]To you he may seem big but he was obviously skinny. Im 6ft 1 and 240lbs with a 13% BF.
Bruce was a sopping wet 130lbs and 5ft 7. Yeah he was skinny alright.

I'll back the lad up I guess since I also own a few of Lees books. It does say he did kick a 300 or whatever bag up to the ceiling.

However, in his Jeet Kune Do book it says he held a 200ish barbell straight out at arms length for :20 or something but in Expressing The Human Body it says it was 75lbs...the latter story probably being the true one and not very impressive. My point is that these books are put together by people that obviously have a Lee fetish, proven by the fact they had to go through his entire "library of training" and piece together scribbles on random pages. So take what you read with a grain of salt. Theres alot of legend around the man and author succumb to it as well.

Ok. I appologise for my comments on odyfat % when I've got things wrong, you guys do know more than me. I will say one thing though (Well three), that is that Bruce was a very, very powerful man, he will have had one of the lowest bf% of anyone around in his later days, and he was much more than an actor.

It would take some serious strength to hold a 200lb barbell at arms length. I HIGHLY doubt Lee was capable of that.

wow, 2 people that have a grasp of bodyfat and it's not a hardcore bodybuilding forum...normally on the internet bruce lee has 3%, every kid with slightly visible abs has 6% bodyfat (OP) and brock lesnar has 8%

bruce lee was around 6% at his most shredded and obviously a very well-conditioned athlete (his lat is pretty scary for a guy his size)...debating his superhuman feats with dumb teenagers or other dweebs is a waste of time
